Based at Page Field (KFMY) in Fort Myers, Florida, Switlik Aviation
Maintenance, Inc. was founded in 1996 and is owned and operated by Edd
Switlik, IA, COMM., ME, CFII.
Due to their dedication to high quality
standards, dependable service, and ethical business practices, Switlik
Aviation has grown to become one of the premier aircraft repair and
maintenance facilities in Southwest Florida .
HISTORY
In 1979, Edd Switlik moved to Fort Myers, FL from his native Kansas and
started a 17-year career with Ft. Myers Airways where he directed the
maintenance for their charter fleet, as well as supporting maintenance
efforts for the major airlines then operating from Page Field. With the
closure of Ft. Myers Airways in the mid-90’s, Edd made the decision to
start his own facility and in 1996 the hangar doors were opened at
Switlik Aviation Maintenance, Inc.
TODAY
In 2003, Edd and his crew moved across Page Field to their present
location and a large, custom designed and built, state-of-the-art
facility in order to keep up with the rapid growth of Southwest Florida
and ever increasing demands for quality general aviation maintenance
and repair services. Both private and corporate aircraft owners have
come to trust Edd and his talented crew for all of their inspection,
repair and maintenance needs, including:
Piston aircraft—Single and twin
Turbo prop aircraft—Single and twin
Light Jet aircraft
100 hours and annual inspections
Installation of STC conversions and major alterations
Engine and parts sales
Switlik Aviation also provides 24-hour support for Page Field Aviation
Center with on call maintenance and inspection for aircraft
experiencing mechanical problems while visiting Page Field.
